BIOGRAPHY
Formed in the suburbs of Chicago in 1996, Alkaline Trio pioneered a dark, macabre, and melodic style of punk rock that made them one of the most beloved bands to emerge from the Midwest scene. Driven by the dual songwriting and distinct vocal contrasts of co-frontmen Matt Skiba and Dan Andriano—the group carved out a unique niche by pairing blistering pop-punk hooks with darkly romantic, ghoulish, and fiercely honest lyrics.
After releasing fan-favorite early records like Goddamnit (1998) and Maybe I'll Catch Fire (2000) on Asian Man Records, the band broke into the mainstream with their landmark major-label debuts From Here to Infirmary (2001) and Good Mourning (2003). Featuring enduring anthems like "Private Eye," "Stupid Kid," "Radio," and "We've Had Enough," Alkaline Trio solidified their place as dark pop-punk royalty.
With over two decades of releases—including chart-topping records like Crimson (2005), Is This Thing Cursed? (2018), and Blood, Hair, and Eyeballs (2024)—Alkaline Trio continues to captivate generations of punk, emo, and alternative fans worldwide.
