DESCRIPTION :
Reef remain one of the more underrated bands to emerge from the Britpop wave. Drawing on the Rolling Stones, the Black Crowes, and touches of Aerosmith and Alice In Chains, they built a big, loose rock sound around Gary Stringer's full-throttle voice.
The Best Of... rounds up the band’s key moments, including Naked, their 1995 breakthrough single, famously used in a widely seen TV advert for Sony’s MiniDisc. It is a sharp reminder of how direct and effective Reef could be at their best.
Alongside favourites like Place Your Hands and Consideration, the collection also brings in songs that never appeared on their albums, including Just Dropped In (To See What Condition My Condition Was In), written by Mickey Newbury.
