311 "Grassroots" (30th Anniversary)

Originally released on 7/12 in 1994, Grassroots was considered a stylistic improvement over their debut that presented a more focused and balanced group of songs merging the band’s rap-metal intensity with strong reggae influences and jam band leanings. The album didn’t contain any “hits” per se but the songs on this album showcase the band’s proficiency and artistry that stood out from the bulk of their peers in the mid-90’s.
