Today we’re remembering and honoring Francisco Ramirez, a true cornerstone of our community whose creativity, warmth, and talent left an indelible mark on Chicago.
Whether you knew Francisco through his art or his music across the local scene, you knew how much heart he poured into everything he touched. Everyone probably has their own favorite band of his, but for me, it was always The Traitors. His bands gave so many of us a sense of energy and connection, and his iconic posters captured the vibrant, DIY spirit of our scene in a way no one else could.
More than anything, Francisco was an amazing person, a true friend to the scene, and someone whose impact will be felt for a long, long time.
Sending all our love to his family, friends, and everyone who was moved by his art and music. Rest in peace, Francisco. You will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.
Huge thank you as well to whoever runs the “Hammer Fiend Club” page ❤ Without that page, I would of never found this video. Thank you Patrick or Brian or whoever runs it.
