Without a doubt, Crass has the most intelligent, politically oriented, thought provoking lyrics of any punk band. The lyric sheet for 1982's 'Christ The Album' reads like a book - a very powerful book. Crass is punk music; it encompasses the revolution that defined the genre; it smashes the wanna be, punk prima donna bloodily into the ground. This double album features half studio material and half recorded live, principally at the 100 club on June 9, 1981 and Action Space Drill Hall, London, on November 16, 1977.
