The Who "Who's Next"

Who's Next is regarded by many as The Who's masterpiece which says a lot considering the group's legendary output. Originally, Pete Townshend intended these songs for the massive multimedia extravaganza, Lifehouse which was eventually abandoned. Producer Glyn Johns convinced Townshend and the Who to present the best of this material as a straightforward Rock and Roll record and it resulted in some of the group's most focused and powerful work ever produced. Bookended by the classics Baba O'Riley and Won't Get Fooled Again, Who's Next is one of the defining albums of '70s hard rock from one of the greatest bands of all time.
