<3 Thank You Highland Park!
In 2020, we ran a small record label and faced challenges with delays in the manufacturing industry because of the pandemic. While we waited, we decided to shift our efforts and start a small online store called Loud Pizza. For us, this was a place where we could share our love and passion for music as well as share what we were listening to. We created a community of like minded people who came together through music. We never anticipated that Loud Pizza would become what it has and we are truly amazed and thankful for it everyday. Our little business grew and in 2022 we shifted our focus from our service oriented occupations to expand our online operation into a brick and mortar store located in Highland Park, just north of Chicago. We grew to build close relationships with many customers and became avid members of the community!
In 2024, we expanded our business again into a storefront located inside the Fairgrounds of the Salt Shed. We’ve been blessed to see many of our customers and regulars from our Highland Park store visit us at the Carry-Out X Salt Shed location along with providing an experience for all the new faces attending the Salt Shed. However, this past summer, we saw a huge change in the economy and a steady decline of traffic and sales at our Highland Park store with many of our neighbors and friends' businesses reflecting similar slower traffic and sales patterns that we are experiencing.
After only two years of being open in Highland Park, we’ve made the difficult and emotional decision to close our Highland Park location on December 31, 2024. Unfortunately, we just don’t see the business we once had in Highland Park and have seen a decline in our sales. While we are closing the doors at our Highland Park location, we will continue to operate our business online and focus our attention at our Salt Shed location. We will also continue to offer special orders and create memorable events in the near future that we hope that you are part of. We hope that this opportunity will give us a chance to embrace the things we do best and continue to serve a community of like minded people like us.
While this is a big change for us, we hope you continue to support us as we transition into new opportunities and new doors open for us! So, let's not make this a goodbye, but rather, look forward to seeing you again soon because over the years, we have bonded with many of you and think so highly of you! We enjoy seeing your faces!
We will be participating in Record Store Day Black Friday 2024 on November 29, 2024 and we will post all the releases as we receive them. We will also be stocking up our Highland Park location for the holidays, so we hope you swing by and shop small this holiday season!
