OUR STORY
Remember when we were teenagers full of rebellion? Staying up late to watch Svengoolie at night? Skateboarding with our friends? Blaring the music while slamming our favorite slice of pizza? At Loud Pizza Records, we want to share that with you. We may be older now but we’re still cranking the volume up and bringing our passion and love for music, pop culture and pizza to you!
Loud Pizza started during the uncertainty of the COVID era, when our punk-focused label was facing long delays at pressing plants. What began as a way to stay creative and have a little fun online quickly grew into something much bigger—eventually becoming a full-time labor of love for both of us.
From the beginning, we leaned into the idea of being a pizza-themed record store. We shipped records in custom pizza boxes and invited our community to help us name our mascot—a lovable pizza slice who became Elvis Crustello. Soon, we decided Elvis needed a sidekick, and Fizzy Stardust, our fun-loving soda can, joined the Loud Pizza universe. What started as a playful brand became a genuine community built on music, creativity, and connection.
Since those early days, we’ve opened (a few) storefronts across the Chicagoland area and are now proudly rooted in the Ravenswood neighborhood—our long-term home. While we continue to ship records worldwide, our signature pizza boxes now live on as a special gift box option.
We are a carefully curated record store specializing in new releases and reissues from the ’70s to today, with a focus on genres like Alternative, Punk, Indie, Rock, Pop, Folk/Alt-Country, Neo Soul/Jazz, Rap/Hip-Hop, and soundtracks, to name a few. We also print all of our merchandise and promotional goods in-house. Many people assume we’re a large company—but we’re truly a mom-and-pop shop.
Jeri brings a background in promotions and design and has built Loud Pizza from scratch (pun intended). From the logo and website to every piece of merch and promo item, she designs and produces it all herself.
Mike is our resident music encyclopedia. He handles logistics, makes sure orders go out smoothly, and is always on the hunt for those hard-to-find releases our customers love.
