The song has been re-released multiple times since its original release in 1984. The Guardian listed the song at number one in their ''Stock Aitken Waterman's 20 greatest songs – ranked!'' To celebrate the 40th anniversary of ''You Spin Me Round (Like a Record)'', it is now available as two different limited and numbered 12''. Version 1 contains the Murder Mix, Metro 12'' Extended Mix and 400 Hz - Kleopatra Remix. The B-side contains a full colour picture. The 12'' is carefully packed in a PVC sleeve.
