Released in 1984, Bobby ""Boris"" Pickett's ""Monster Rap,"" is the follow up to his Halloween classic ""Monster Mash."" The track blends the popular disco and funk sounds of the late '70s while incorporating the growing popularity of rap and hip-hop and remains a quirky addition to Pickett's spooky legacy. The b-side features Edgar Winter's ""Frankenstein,"" which blends elements of progressive rock, blues, and jazz fusion, creating a dramatic and otherworldly sound.
