The rambunctious debut straight outta Chapel Hill that redefined ’90s alt-rock returns in a newly remastered 30th anniversary edition. This 2LP set features the original Ben Folds Five album on LP 1, including “Jackson Cannery,” “Philosophy,” and “Underground,” plus expanded liner notes and photos. LP2 unveils the "Shelved First Attempt," a previously unreleased early version of the album recently rediscovered by Ben Folds on digital audio tape in his personal archives. Produced by Dave “Stiff” Johnson, the bonus LP includes early alternate versions of seven album tracks, an early performance of “Evaporated,” and three rare outtakes: “Emaline,” “Dick Holster,” and “Eddie Walker.”
