More anthemic, open-hearted, and populist sort of sound. Influenced by the early 1990s. Big choruses, big anthems, and hopefully rousing sing-alongs that inspire some kind of hopeful feeling. BODEGA are a Brooklyn-based art-rock band known for their sharp, melodic vocals, wiry post-punk sound, and cutting observations on modern life. Formed by Ben Hozie and Nikki Belfiglio, the group emerged from New York’s DIY scene with a style that blends indie rock with conceptual, often humorous commentary on consumer culture, technology, and identity.
