DESCRIPTION :
Genera & on X emerged from the English punk movement of 1976, rising from the remnants of the band Chelsea. The group featured Billy Idol
and Tony James, both of whom went on to achieve notable success as solo ar & sts and as members of the band throughout the decade and beyond. Recorded in just one week in a converted garage, the band's debut album was produced by Mar & n Rushent (known for his work with The Stranglers, Buzzcocks, and The Human League). The record introduced a cleaner, more refined sound, with a par & cular emphasis on focused vocals, and is oRen cited as an early influence on the development of the pop-punk genre. Although ini & ally underrated, the album stands as a compelling snapshot of the era, reaching the UK Albums Chart and featuring the single "Ready Steady Go." Lead singer and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee Billy Idol remains ac & ve as a solo ar & st and con & nues to tour interna & onally. He has also released a documentary, "Billy Idol Should Be Dead," which offers an in-depth account of his life and career in music.
