The result is a warmer, more textured record that still carries Mudhoney’s trademark bite.
There’s a laid-back, almost ramshackle feel to many of the tracks, as if the band is more interested in locking into a vibe than chasing pure volume. At the same time, moments of distortion and snarl cut through, reminding listeners of their garage-punk roots.
